How it works

Each page is drawn to a canvas in your browser and saved as an image, so the file never leaves your device. One page comes back as a single image. More than one arrives as a zip, numbered in page order so they stay sorted.

Resolution is the setting that matters. Screen is right for a web page or a slide. Print is a good default and roughly matches what a document scanner produces. High is worth it for small type or fine line work, but the files get large quickly.

Choose PNG over JPG for pages that are mostly text, diagrams or screenshots: it is lossless, so it will not soften the edges of letters. JPG is smaller and better suited to pages built around photographs.
