How it works

The watermark is drawn onto each page on your device; nothing is uploaded. The text is sized to span the page and painted in a translucent grey, so the document stays readable underneath it.

A watermark like this is a label, not a lock: it tells readers a document is a draft or is confidential, but it does not prevent copying and it can be removed by someone determined. For removing sensitive content rather than labelling it, true redaction is on our roadmap.
